National Health Care Reform:
It's Good for Florida!

Almost 2 million Floridians are currently both very low-income and uninsured. Without real health care reform, few have any hope of obtaining meaningful, affordable coverage. Proposed legislation and bills forthcoming through   committees would expand Medicaid coverage for many or most of them.
The main proposals for health care reform under consideration in Congress would:

• Assure meaningful coverage for Floridians who could never afford it otherwise
• Allow Floridians who already have good coverage continue to choose their doctors…and let doctors continue to provide the care patients need
• Provide more affordable and higher quality health care for everyone
